Four Rivers Co-op is hiring a DIRECTOR OF AG & ENERGY OPERATIONS.

Four Rivers Co-op, located in Vanderhoof, BC has experienced year-over-year growth with the recent acquisition of an agro facility and 12 new gas bars. These acquisitions combined with the already established Food Store, Home Center, and multiple gas bars and fuel card locks have resulted in record-breaking growth. With this new growth and momentum, Four Rivers Co-op is looking to add to our leadership team and is recruiting for a Director of Ag & Energy Operations.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible to:

• Demonstrate and maintain Four Rivers Co-operative\xe2\x80\x99s values of Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Excellence in everything you do
• Provide strategic leadership for the Ag and Energy operations divisions in order to achieve growth and business development objectives
• Work with the leadership team to develop the annual corporate strategy in support of vision and mission
• Provide leadership for the development and implementation of an Ag and Energy Growth and Business Development strategy
• Collaborate with Marketing and Member Relations in the development and implementation of annual and long-term Local Co-op Ag and Energy marketing strategies and plans that support corporate and division goals
• Establish and monitor operational metrics and targets, developing annual operating budgets, capital budgets, and business plans for each division that supports our corporate goals while focusing on store growth opportunities
• Provide budget progress reports to the CEO and support the CEO in reporting to the Board
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with various stakeholders to facilitate effective business operations
• Provide leadership to a team of Division and Store Managers, overseeing the talent management cycle, including recruitment, development and training, succession planning and performance management
• Execute Four Rivers Co-op high standards for customer service excellence
• Ensure efficient, effective and safe operations of each of the Ag and Energy divisions while promoting the Four Rivers Co-op\xe2\x80\x99s Health and Safety program
• Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements as well as organizational and commodity programs and policies

Who you are:

• You hold a degree or diploma in a related field (such as Business, Agriculture, etc.)
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience
• You have demonstrated experience controlling operational costs, maximizing operational efficiencies and improving gross margins
• Experienced in an operational management capacity with commodity, finance and human resource accountabilities as well as providing advice to Senior Leadership
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products and a proven ability to learn specialized software quickly
• You are honest and trustworthy, results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
