Summary of Job: This role is responsible for the overall Canadian pricing and market access strategy. This role is instrumental in overseeing and leading all pricing and market access strategies and tactics across the broad range of payers in Canada (including all stakeholders within the private sector insurers, CADTH & pCODR, INESSS, pCPA and PMRPB). Ability to build and/or oversee the development of required CE and BIA models. Ensure alignment with the Franchise Leads and Senior Management. This role will be responsible for all pricing and market access contracting. The role will require leadership and working cross-functionally to manage the performance of the private and public payers, including accountability for tracking, and improving performance, and the development of franchise strategies and tactics that will optimize business. This role requires working closely with all Canadian and NA cross functional franchise partners, with a particular linkage to Patient Services Team. Essential Functions:

  • Understanding of the public and private HTA processes in Canada (CADTH, INESSS, and the private insurer sector).
  • Develop/align on the Canadian pricing and market access strategies/plans for all franchises by critically appraising clinical and economic evidence to support a clear articulation of our product value propositions and applying them to achieving targeted reimbursement criteria.
  • Lead the development and implementation of all HTA submissions and initiatives (Pricing, Clinical Value Dossier, CE & BIA Models).
  • Understand and apply PMPRB guidelines and maintain compliance with PMPRB Regulations.
  • Responsible for assessing and recommending optimal launch pricing and annual price submission increases ensuring compliance with PMPRB guidelines.
  • Lead the development and implementation of all PMPRB submissions and annual and semi-annual filings. Resolve issues whenever appropriate.
  • Help build over time strong relationships and enhance corporate profile with key contacts within relevant provincial and federal health organizations and within the private insurance sector.
  • Manage market access budgets and develop metrics to measure ROI against key initiatives.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of all brand planning activities through active participation with the NA Franchises.
  • Research and communicate to the NA Management Teams trends within the Canadian pharmaceutical industry (pricing, reimbursement, and market access) and develop proactive strategies in anticipation of these
  • Input into all product pipeline development teams by informing of pricing and market access potential.
  • Identify gaps in current market access understanding and develop plans to gain payer insights through primary research, advisory boards, etc.
  • Serve as point of contact with cross-functional partners to guide strategies and plans for broader and deeper Canadian market access engagement with KOLs, payer memberships, and other key constituents.
Job Requirements: Education
  • Bachelor\'s Degree with 10+ years of commercial pharmaceutical industry experience (including 5+ years of Canadian pricing and market access experience).
Experience
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally.
Deep understanding and experience the specialty space including pricing, distribution, and payer dynamics unique to oncology and rare disease products.
  • Deep understanding of Canadian public HTA agencies.
  • Understanding of the Canadian private insurance healthcare market.
  • Experience identifying trends and insights assimilating into pricing and market access strategies.
  • Understanding of key payer value drivers and ability to develop and implement payer value propositions.
  • Understanding of macro\xe2\x80\x93Canadian Healthcare trends and their translation/impact on current products and future pipeline products.
