The opportunity

Associate Director Market Access
Montreal, Quebec

Travel: 10-20% of time

Reporting to the Sr Director, Market Access and Center of Excellence Patient Support (CoE PSP), the incumbent will develop and deploy robust market access, pricing and reimbursement strategies to gain optimal patient access to Teva Canada Innovation (TCI) medicines with public and private payers.

How you\'ll spend your day

Develop and implement market access, pricing and reimbursement strategies

  • Using best practices, develop innovative market access strategies and tactical plans to achieve optimal reimbursement with public and private payers in Canada for the TCI products portfolio;
  • Manage and support the development of the Market Access Manager reporting to the Associate Director.
  • Supervise market access university interns, as appropriate;
  • Ensure close collaboration and communication with cross-functional team at TCI as well as with Generic business team.
  • Develop robust pricing analyses and submissions to PMPRB;
  • In collaboration with medical affairs and other stakeholders, lead the development of compelling value dossiers, including NMA/RWE/PRO to establish the clinical and pharmacoeconomic evidence of value of TCI products with public and private payers;
  • Develop health economics (HE) studies for the Canadian Market (e.g. burden of illness, cost-effectiveness, budget impact analyses, etc.);
  • Set up and facilitate market access workshops with external experts (HTA, health policy makers, clinical experts, etc.) relevant to TEVA\'s portfolio;
  • Ensure the development of high quality health technology assessments (HTA) submissions to public and private payers;
  • Lead pCPA negotiations and PLAs negotiations for the TCI portfolio
  • Liaise with and represent TEVA with HTA agencies , provincial/territorial drug plans, private payers, pan Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA), PMPRB, government officials, patient advocacy groups, and other stakeholders, for the assigned therapeutic areas;
  • In collaboration with government affairs, monitor the evolution of the Canadian market access and pricing landscape and participate in its shaping by collaborating in relevant external MA/health policy working groups, as appropriate; ensure regular adjustments and reporting;
  • Manage projects and assigned budgets within set targets and timelines.
Your experience and qualifications

Professional Qualifications
  • Minimum educational requirements: Bachelor Degree in life sciences (eg. pharmacy, epidemiology, public health, healthcare administration, and other related fields);
  • Academic assets: MD, MBA, M.SC, or PhD in Health economics;
  • Minimum prior 10years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, including 5 years in Market Access/HE/pricing roles;
  • Experience in developing and leading market access strategies, robust value dossiers and HTA submissions;
Communication skills
  • Communicate transparently and in a persuasive manner;
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and strong negotiation skills;
  • Present and convey complex concepts to different audiences;
  • Bilingual (spoken/written French and English)
  • Prior experience in cross-functional work environments;
