Position Details

Reporting to the AVP - Long-Haul Trucking and Commercial Auto leader, the incumbent will lead and direct the underwriting of complex new and existing Commercial Auto & LHT programs (Fleet, garage, Towing, LHT).

This position will collaborate with Business Development and Actuarial to achieve profitable underwriting results through the growth, development, and underwriting of products and services Maintain knowledge of industry, market, and competition; anticipate external market trends, internal needs and/or client needs. Make sound financial judgments based on a thorough understanding of financial management methods, the nature of insurance risk and costs. Responsible for achieving operational goals, while adhering to client service standards and being compliant with company and industry regulatory standards. Delivering established new and renewal business and expense goals as provided by the Vice President for goal achievement. Making sure deliverables are met, identifying gaps and providing solutions to address any concerns. Ensuring the achievement of all standards as outlined in the Company operational guidelines Monitor risk selection of their respective region Maintain a high level of knowledge of required products, markets and territories. Achievement of premium goals and budgets.

Your Profile

University Degree Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar 7 + years in Commercial Auto and or LHT 5 years in Managing Leaders CIP or FCIP designation CRM exposure Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven record to work effectively in a team environment, and resolution and get the consensus and consultative approach Motivated, enthusiastic and self-directed. Initiative, sense of urgency, accountability and results-oriented.
