Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances while ensuring the safety and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage long hours on the road.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and mileage as required by federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when required. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies throughout the transportation process.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. must have at LEAST 1 YEAR LONG HAUL Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in long-haul transportation. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Skills in automotive repair are a plus for maintaining vehicle functionality during trips. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting delivery deadlines.
