We are looking for an experienced Director of IT & Security to oversee all IT, security and compliance functions.
The Director of IT & Security will be responsible for the IT needs of the organization, including that of local and remote offices and employees. The successful candidate will provide both leadership and hands-on support to internal and external stakeholders. They will implement and enforce best practices across the organization for all information security, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and business applications used by the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and be comfortable with fulfilling company requirements while building a new team to address the defined responsibilities and meet objectives.
Job Duties:
Oversee and manage the IT and security of network, systems, and enterprise information for the Company and be the subject matter expert for all Information Security requirements including, but not limited to, GDPR and other data protection rules and regulations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to oversee the cybersecurity of the Book4Time SaaS platform, other software applications and IT related needs.
Refine current IT policies and systems to support the strategies necessary for future growth. Develop and implement information security and cybersecurity policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure optimal protection and management of risk.
Drive the adoption and implementation of procedures and controls for effective security compliance management for all applicable related regulations.
Ready the Company and lead information security risk analyses and audits (SOC, PCI, HIPAA) on our SaaS platform.
Oversee all non production technology operations (e.g. software, hardware, third party SaaS applications used by the business, network & application security, etc.).
Hire, lead and develop helpdesk employee(s) to support the IT needs of the company.
Review and benchmark the performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure of IT system s.
Oversee and manage communications infrastructure to align with the business requirements of being a remote first company (2 offices, remote workers, call centre in the Philippines, etc.)
Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine technology needs. Purchase and maintain technological equipment and software cost-effectively by building relationships with external IT vendors and service providers to create cost-efficient contrac ts.
Control corporate IT budget and report on expenditure.
Expertise you'll bring:
10+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in SaaS software
Experience in Information Security and Data Protection
Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
Experience working with security frameworks and regulatory compliance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex topics both verbally and in writing
Strong ability to solve complex business problems in a collaborative fashion
Strong business acumen, multi-tasking, and analytical skills
Experience in controlling information technology budget
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
Nice to have:
BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
Experience with AWS
