OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified and motivate Director Investor Relations to drive the Company\xe2\x80\x99s strategic Investor Relations program by working closely with internal stakeholders and engaging externally with the investment community including but not limited to shareholders, analysts and sales and trading. Based in our Vancouver Head Office and reporting to the Senior Vice President Investor Relations, this role will focus mainly on providing support to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s day-to-day capital markets activities.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Investor Relations communication materials including but not limited to corporate and conference presentations, news releases, fact sheets, key messages, while updating and enhancing the \xe2\x80\x9cInvestor Relations\xe2\x80\x9d section of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s website.
  • Develop and support the quarterly and annual financial reporting including but limited to Management Disclosure & Analysis (MD&A) reports, quarterly webcasts and presentations, scripts.
  • Take a leadership role in the IR contributions to corporate reports such as annual reports, Sustainability reports, Annual Information Form, etc.
  • Coordinate marketing roadshows and investment conferences including the development of marketing materials.
  • Coordinate and lead the development of logistics, content and invitation lists for sites visits, Investor Days, AGMs, etc.
  • Attend conferences and marketing roadshows including retail events with senior management and independently as required.
  • Play a key role in the Company\xe2\x80\x99s external ESG strategy with the investment community.
  • Provide day-to-day support of the IR function by managing relationships with buy-side and sell-side stakeholders, monitoring share price performance, industry trends and activities of sell-side analysts that include reviewing research reports, tracking target prices and ratings and understanding market expectations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to further the Company\xe2\x80\x99s understanding of its value proposition, market surveillance, peer benchmarking, analyst consensus, etc. that would then be used to further enhance OceanaGold\xe2\x80\x99s corporate messaging to the capital markets.
  • Liaise and network regularly with sell side analysts/institutional sales desks to keep OceanaGold \xe2\x80\x9ctop of mind\xe2\x80\x9d.
  • Identify opportunities in the market to establish new relationships, promoting corporate messages in a professional and organised manner.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders from operations, finance, and external affairs, etc.
  • Ensure strong communications and teamwork with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as required and as it pertains to the IR function.
  • Work closely with the External Affairs function in external message coordination and collaboration of external documents.


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a professional or equivalent experience in a corporate environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Engineering or Geology or equivalent. MBA, CFA, CPA or equivalent designation preferred but not required.
  • Experience in metals and mining industry preferred.
  • Excellent business communication (verbal and written) skills with a high degree of professionalism and business acumen.
  • Excellent Proficiency with Microsoft products including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Emphasis on quality and relevance of information and analysis and the application of appropriate accounting principles and concepts.
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience working within a capital markets environment or advanced understanding of share markets and investing.
  • Understanding of the global nature of the capital markets and the interconnectivity.
  • Collaborative working style, building strong internal and external relationships to facilitate the accurate and timely flow of information and supporting analysis.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and sensitively in cross-cultural environments.
  • Strong personal presence and develop trusting relationships with senior managers.
  • Ability to influence at all levels.
