Position Overview: Reporting to Director, Investor Relations, Senior Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the execution of Finning\xe2\x80\x99s investor relations (IR) program that defines communication strategies with the investment community and builds effective engagement with institutional investors and sell-side research analysts. In addition, this position will be leveraged to support the finance team with modeling, analysis, research, and reporting as required.

  • Support execution of the investor relations objectives through analysis, reporting, and assistance with all IR events and deliverables.
  • Monitor and review sell-side research, maintain and update internal models of analyst estimates, and provide summaries of investment thesis, valuation, targets, and ratings.
  • Conduct analysis and produce internal IR reports and updates for Finning executives and the board, including quarterly IR board reports and related material; shareholder analysis, intelligence, and engagement tracking; trading analytics; and various research and notes as required.
  • Establish and maintain peer reporting framework and analysis.
  • Assist with preparations of quarterly earnings releases, scripts, presentations, and Q&A.
  • Support development of investor presentations, messages, and Q&A for various investor events, including conferences, roadshows/marketing, investor days and tours.
  • Research economic data, market and industry trends, and disclosures of customers and peers to prepare IR messaging and deliverable.
  • Support continuous improvement of IR messaging and external disclosure practices to effectively communicate Finning\xe2\x80\x99s story and value proposition to the investment community.
  • Develop strong relationships within global finance, operations, legal, strategy, communications, and other teams to collaborate on preparation of investor relations materials.
  • Update IR website, keep track on investor meetings and notes in the CMS, support coordination and execution of IR events, and provide other miscellaneous assistance to the IR function.
  • Support Finning\xe2\x80\x99s finance team with modeling, analysis, research, and reporting as required.


Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • Professional designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, CA) or MBA
  • 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, equity research, investment banking, and/or investor relations.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial results to business impact
  • Advanced Excel skills, financial analysis and modeling skills, understanding of equity valuation methodologies and models, and ability to analyze, interpret, and report data.
  • Proficient PowerPoint skills, ability to present information visually, effectively, and succinctly.
