• A seasoned fundraising leader with a track record of developing and executing effective fundraising strategies that drive significant impact and align with organizational goals
• Proficient in creating compelling presentations and solicitations, with a proven ability to guide prospects through the full cultivation cycle, securing successful outcomes
• An excellent communicator, capable of engaging and inspiring a diverse range of potential funders with tailored, persuasive messaging
• Experienced in developing and managing annual budgets, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities
• Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships, with good sense of humour and genuine manner
• A strategic thinker and problem solver, adept at identifying challenges, collaborating on solutions, and driving innovation to achieve goals

Role Summary:
Reporting to the VP, Philanthropy, the new role of Director, Individual and Corporate Giving will play a key role in driving revenue growth through building and strengthening relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporate partners to advance BC Park Foundation's mission. This role will collaborate internally to establish strategies and plans that are aligned across the organization to achieve the Foundation's fundraising targets.
Responsibilities:
The Director, Individual and Corporate Giving will:
• In collaboration with the VP, Philanthropy, develop and implement fundraising strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit individuals, foundations, and corporations in support of BC Parks Foundation's mission and long-term sustainability
• In collaboration with the VP, Philanthropy, establish goals, key metrics, implementation plans, and tracking to achieve annual objectives
• Overseea growing team of fundraising professionals; provide leadership, coaching, and performance management
• Develop and manage department-specific budget; ensure all initiatives are executed on time and within budget
• Manage and grow a portfolio of donors, through cultivation and stewardship activities that set a positive example for the team
• Identifypotential major donors and corporate partners; assess capacity and alignment with BCPF's mission
• Work cross functionally to create engaging proposals and presentations, including partnership alignment, recognition and marketing benefits, events, and employee engagement opportunities
• Collaborate with Director, Community Giving, to manage a donor stewardship program; ensure timely and meaningful recognition of all gifts
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g. marketing, communications, programming) to ensure cohesive messaging and donor engagement strategies.
• Contribute to a constructive, results oriented, and inspiring organizational culture
• Other duties as required
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, and 3 years as a people leader
• Track record in securing six-figure gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
• Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent
• Proven leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating a team to achieve common goals and objectives
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans
• Expertise in donor relationship management and cultivation techniques
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
• Deep understanding of Canadian charitable giving landscape
Skills and experience considered an asset:
• MBA or equivalent preferred
• Fluency in a second language
