Tasks

Assign health care workers to specific projects and programs Coordinate the delivery of health care services within the department Direct and control daily operations Evaluate daily operations Plan and control budget and expenditures Plan and organize daily operations Review budgets and spending to ensure departments operate within funding limits Establish and implement policies and procedures for delivery of health care services Hire, train, direct and motivate staff Manage contracts Develop evaluation systems to monitor health care services Oversee the analysis of data and information Oversee the preparation of reports Co-ordinate work of doctors, nurses and other staff Consult with boards of directors, senior managers and government officials
