We are hiring for a Director, Hanson High School to join our amazing team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create business development plan for the High School, including develop a business growth plan and implement it; expand business partners; set enrolment targets and create a plan to achieve it
  • Build a strong team, including recruiting, training, and developing staff members
  • Oversee daily operations, as well keeping school status meeting all audits and compliance requirements by the Ministry
  • Coach and support staff members in goal setting, planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of action plans that will guide leaders in meeting their instructional leadership objectives and for them to meet performance targets
  • Conduct regular formal and informal classroom walk-throughs aligned to student achievement and strategic goals
  • Provide feedback on successful leadership practices, such as effective management of teaching staff, use of data, and establishment of culture
  • Attend management meetings and events to foster a culture of engagement with staff, families, and community
  • Build the instructional leadership capacity of principals with particular focus on instruction, data analysis, aligned interventions, community, and culture
  • Collaborate with team members and leaders to facilitate effective operating meetings with both the teaching staff and administrative staff
  • Participate in management meetings to maintain alignment and support corporate objectives
  • Promote Hanson to international students and partner agents
  • Maintain current knowledge to ensure the maintenance of Ontario’s Ministry of Education curriculum standards in the delivery of courses; ensure compliance
  • Prepare for regular quality assurance inspections conducted by Ministry of Education, and take corrective actions when needed
  • Perform any other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by needs

Education & Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Ontario private high sector
  • A master's degree in leadership or education related
  • Experience and knowledge in international student guidance/admissions
  • 5-10 years of management and leadership experience
  • Experience in developing strategic objectives and ensuring the objectives are measurable
  • Open-minded, willing to embrace challenges, a good conflicts conciliator
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills
