SUMMARY: This role is accountable for managing & administering the Global Capital Plan and needs to drive discipline and excellence in the execution & planning. This role also needs to drive Project Management Excellence and Start up management excellence across the engineering organization to ensure that we are delivering projects that are fit for purpose while delivering a competitive advantage to the business. This role is also the owner of Early Equipment Management as part of our Manufacturing Driving Improvement program globally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the Global Capital Planning & Reporting process which includes but not limited to:
  • Monthly status reporting & reviews with regional engineering teams.
  • Sitting on Regional Capital Committees.
  • Preparing for & Co-leading the Global Investment Committee on a quarterly basis.
  • Collating the 5 year plan with all the regional and functional inputs.
  • Drive Project Management best practices by ensuring proper training & templates are available for Project Teams to use regionally, coaching Project Managers on major projects and facilitating cross-regional best practice (and lesson learned) sharing.
  • Own the development AI scheduling tool and drive the subsequent roll out across the organization.
  • Drive Start up Management best practices by ensuring proper training & templates are available for Project Teams to use regionally, facilitating cross-regional best practice sharing and working cross-functionally with different stakeholders to drive awareness & get continuous feedback on the processes.
  • Travel to ongoing major projects to provide coaching and support.
  • Lead the early equipment management pillar for MDI which includes but not limited to:
  • Development & Maintenance of the Management Systems within this element.
  • Rolling out Feedback to Design across the organization.
  • Leading the Regional Element Owner meeting to foster feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Coach regions through deployment of the management systems.
  • Organize and facilitate the bi-monthly Global Engineering Town Hall to promote sharing across the regional engineering teams and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Education:
  • University Degree in Engineering or Other Related Field.
Leadership Abilities:
  • Proven capability to develop and maintain strong collaborative business relationships across global and regional functions
  • Ability to influence effective decision-making with cross-functional teams
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with diversity and inclusion sensitivity
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively and persuasively articulate positions (electronically and verbally) to various audiences and at all levels of the business
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and measure progress across multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and within teams on both strategy and tactical projects with minimal supervision.
  • Program management skills: identification and management of stakeholders, milestone development and tracking of progress, resource management, risk mitigation, detailed action planning, basic familiarity with change management.
Business Acumen:
  • Strong knowledge of the McCain business across multiple regions would be a strong asset for this role.
Required Length & Type of Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Capital Management & Project Management.
Travel:
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%
