Director, Finance
Reporting directly to the VP, Finance, the Director, Finance will lead a team of 10+ direct reports responsible for Corporate Financial Reporting, Corporate Financial Controls, Disclosure and Risk Mitigation. The Director, Finance is an important financial leader in the organization, providing value added input for key financial decisions. The successful candidate will join a highly motivated team of finance professionals, providing key business advisory as a member of eSentire\xe2\x80\x99s senior management team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regular financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and appropriate disclosure.
  • Prepare regular reporting material for management, investors, and lenders.
  • Manage key external relationships with key investors, auditors, and professional consultants.
  • Instill processes to improve workflow and enhance the control environment around financial reporting and disclosure.
  • Build, mentor and lead a talented, customer-obsessed finance team who focuses on driving revenue.
  • Understand eSentire\xe2\x80\x99s strategy and drives top line profitability through strong financial management practices and golden metrics.
  • Provides strategic guidance and insight to the leadership team of eSentire\xe2\x80\x99s organizational and financial health.
  • Support M&A, product, and pricing strategies.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring financial strategies, policies & procedures, financial systems, business analytics and reporting, accounting, internal planning and control, treasury, and taxation strategy.
  • Be a trusted advisor and support the leadership team in making the right decision for the business through best-in-class financial management practices and accurate financial data.
  • Manage key external relationships with key investors, auditors, and professional consultants.
  • Responsible for all GAAP (US GAAP) reporting and corporate accounting policies.
  • Establish and build out Treasury management and Hedging as the company expands internationally.
  • Actively support international expansion initiatives with a focus on finance, accounting, and taxation matters.
Professional Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate is a senior financial leader who brings a minimum of 7+ years of financial leadership experience ideally gained in a similarly complex, fast paced, high growth software or technology company with an international footprint that has scaled to beyond US$100M in revenue.
  • University degree preferably in finance or business with an accounting designation (CA, CPA) and/or an MBA with a strong working knowledge of US GAAP. Public company experience and/or experience taking a company public is highly desirable. M&A experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of recurring revenue, specifically SaaS metrics.
  • Tuned into the emerging marketplace and have both a strong strategic and operational capability and the ability to keep the business focused on its future direction, providing sound strategic advice and recommendations on business issues. Additionally, this individual will manage banking and financial advisor relationships, interface with investors, lenders, and lessors; manage bank credit lines, loans, and capital leases.
  • Disciplined, metrics-driven and bring demonstrated insight regarding the meaning of financial data as it relates to the operations of a business and a proven track record in building and implementing controls and reporting systems that provide outstanding financial and managerial reports for decision-making purposes around pricing models, etc.
  • Has a flexible, adaptable, and agile style and can adjust to multiple demands and a changing, fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Takes responsibility for assigned tasks and shows initiative to suggest improvements to systems, processes, and procedures. Moreover, is comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and will not let the stress of the role limit their effectiveness.
  • Highly organized, the ideal candidate manages time well and brings projects in on time and on budget. Will have excellent communication skills and will be adept at explaining complex ideas and concepts in simple terms and ensuring open lines of communication throughout the organization.
  • Is not afraid to ask new questions and challenge the status quo in the best interests of the business and is skilled at persuading experienced managers to think about the business differently.
  • Is a confident and mature leader who is committed to winning and is actively engaged and involved in the business. Possessing a positive attitude and a winning spirit, the ideal candidate is capable of leading, motivating, and inspiring others and developing a high performance finance team.
