Director, Finance & Administration

We are searching for an experienced full-time Director, Finance & Administration to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all aspects of financial management, planning, reporting, and compliance. This role also includes oversight of Human Resources, IT systems, and administrative functions supporting a dynamic and growing food manufacturing company.
A hybrid work arrangement may be available for the successful candidate, with minimum on-site hours to be determined.
Summary of Responsibilities
 Develop and execute financial strategies that support growth, efficiency, and long-term profitability.
 Partner with the President and senior management team to provide financial insight into operational decisions and overall business strategy.
 Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
 Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
 Provide financial analysis of manufacturing costs, product margins, and profitability by product line, customer, and channel.
 Ensure timely and insightful financial reporting to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
 Manage relationships with auditors, lenders, and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
 Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
 Partner with operations to optimize cost control, working capital, and inventory management.
 Oversee HR functions, corporate insurance, benefits, and information technology administration.
Education and Training
 Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
 Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA an asset).
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
 Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
 Experience managing foreign exchange risk and hedging.
 Manufacturing experience preferred; food industry experience considered an asset.
 ERP system implementation and IT project management experience preferred.
 Strong computer literacy, including advanced Microsoft Office skills.
