Job Description

The Director, e-commerce is responsible for the technical strategic and operational leadership of the ecommerce platform for our Retail line of business. Reporting to the Senior Director, IT Retail, the Director will be responsible for the following:RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of IT professionals to manage and optimize our online presence across both Kent.ca (B2C) and KentPro.ca (B2B)
• Collaborate and manage vendor relationships, engaging in contract and services discussions and negotiations
• Manage eComm IT budget and resources / Cost control, reporting and invoice approvals
• Research and evaluate new technology solutions to improve our e-commerce capabilities and customer experience
• Forecast demand of resource needs based on discussions with the business

oversee and ensure strong practices in requirements gathering and testing
collaborate with Kent Building Supplies to align business strategies with the projects and enhancements (strategic planning), input to ecomm roadmap * Understand industry trends and look for opportunities to bridge the gaps in business objectivesEXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 5+ years experience in managing end to end business-critical IT systems
• 5+ years experience in delivering large sized project management (size, scope and budget)
• 5+ years experience in building high performing teams
• 5+ years experience in building and implementing of IT Strategy
• 5+ years experience in IT Architecture practices, policies, and standards
• 5+ years experience in Vendor/Service Provider Selection
• 5+ years experience in preparation of RFPs, bid proposals and contracts
• 5+ years experience leading with knowledge of balancing Risk Management, Information & Data Security, Cyber Security & Control Structures
• 5+ years experience in improving business results through continuous improvement (automation, etc.)
• 5+ years experience hands on experience with technology platforms (Magento, etc.)

EDUCATION

• Undergraduate degree in technology (computer science, engineering)
• Masters in business or other relevant business training
• Technical certifications
