Tim Hortons is looking for a rock star Director Social Media Engagement to join the team and lead one of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s most influential corporate social presence. This role is part of the Marketing Communications Team but you will be required to collaborate and work cross functionally with various internal teams. As Director Social Media Engagement, you will lead an internal social team and external partners in setting the vision, strategies and best practices to drive growth, engagement and brand perception across all platforms.

You are someone that knows social, gets the modern customer and how to engage and build loyalty. You will be responsible for all social media channels leading organic content creation, community engagement, social listening and regularly analyze kpis to measure success and drive business results. You are also a key team liaising with many cross-functional teams

Key areas of responsibility include:

Strategy Development

  • Develop & implement a comprehensive social media engagement strategy aligned with overall business objectives
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation engagement initiatives
Platform Management
  • Oversee the management and optimization of social media platforms and stay abreast of platform algorithms, features and best practices to maximize organic reach and engagement
Analytics & Reporting
  • Ability to analyze social data, prepare reports and insights, and develop & optimize a strategy based on results
  • Utilize social media analytics tools to measure the success of campaigns, track key performance indicators, generate actionable insights
Leadership
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, public relations and guest services to ensure a cohesive brand presence across all channels
  • Lead and mentor the social team, provide guidance, coaching
  • Keeps up to date on social trends and happenings, Gen Z culture, new social platforms, and the competitive landscape.
Engagement
  • You are a social media architect and know how to build a presence across platforms that will resonate with our fans and drive results
  • You understand the target and brand voice well to create content that resonates with them, fostering meaningful connections
  • Implement strategies to increase user-generated content and communication participation
  • After hours / ongoing monitoring of social conversations
Qualifications
  • You KNOW social media and have 5+ years experience
  • You value long-term community building over shock value
  • You have an in-depth understanding of social media platforms
  • You have proven success in collaborating with cross-functional partners including legal, because you know there\xe2\x80\x99s no good social without legal
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Proven experience in social media management
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms and trends
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication kills
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and extract actionable insights
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for engaging content
  • Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams
  • Bi-lingual considered an asset
