The Mission: To enable and support the digital transformation of Health Care in the Province.

The Nova Scotia Digital Service, a division of Service Nova Scotia-Internal Services, was created to apply internet-era ways of working to provide services to Nova Scotians. NSDS is a leader in transforming the way government delivers services to citizens and supporting the province\'s priority of quality health care for Nova Scotians. As part of the Mission IT and Core Internal Services team, you will work collaboratively with our partners in government and health care to lead major initiatives focused on the digital transformation of health care in the province.

Your Role

As the Director of Digital Health Enablement, you will collaborate with the Executive Lead to inspire teams to create the necessary conditions for delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives in healthcare. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Putting in place the enabling conditions to support successful digital transformation initiatives for health care.
  • Providing leadership and direction to both internal and external resources.
  • Inspiring a team to work differently, by embracing human centered, iterative, and continuous improvement approaches to delivery.
  • Collaborating across the NSDS, SNSIS, government, and healthcare sectors to exchange best practices, develop strategic direction, and deliver user-centered services.
  • Ensuring the effective management of human and financial resources by setting and evaluating staff performance targets, promoting diversity and a healthy workplace promoting teamwork and individual development.
  • Establishing partnerships and relationships with key partners across all levels of government, and the health sector.

  • Champion the digital enablement of health care and develop extensive business partnerships with NSH, IWK and DHW to enable and support large transformational change.
