Reporting to the Vice President Corporate Communications, this Director will be the lead communications business partner to the HR team, delivering on strategies that effectively elevate OMERS talent brand in a competitive global and regional environment as well as keeping current employees informed of core HR program offerings and key milestones of the OMERS People Strategy.
With a dual internal and external focus, the incumbent will develop and execute strategies and deliverables to build market profile that attracts top-tier talent globally. This position will make a significant impact by fostering pride and engagement among current employees, while also supporting the recruitment of new team members.
This is a strategic and hands-on position for an individual who wants to be a part of a purpose-driven organization, working to serve 640,000 Plan members in Ontario.
This role will work collaboratively with HR partners and colleagues on the Global Communications team as well as with appropriate Business and Functional Leaders globally to establish short- and longer-term strategies and deliverables backed by appropriate success metrics and data-driven insights.
The incumbent will work both independently and as a project lead in creating talent-related creative communications campaigns, awards submissions, and products that help distinguish OMERS, showcase its talent-related differentiators with the overall goal of driving audience engagement across multiple channels and formats (e.g. in-person, event, traditional media, social media, podcasts, in-person, and video). There is currently one direct report to this role.
