What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

This role is a key member of the Transformation Management Office (TMO) in BioPharma Clinical Operations. The role is accountable for developing and maintaining change management standards and guidelines to be used in the successful implementation of change programs across the business. They will also be accountable to develop and implement change management strategies for one or multiple ongoing initiatives within the organization. Works closely with the R&D Change Management Community team to ensure alignment of change impact across a portfolio of projects. Participates in strategic planning efforts and yearly goal setting processes. Reports to the Head of the Transformation Management Office.

  • Own and maintains change management framework/governance within R&D
  • Develops and maintains business area standards and processes for change management
  • Develops tools and templates for use by project teams across multiple intiatives
  • Trains and mentors project teams in good change management practices
  • May lead work with external service providers
  • Participates in AZ project management and change management communities of practice to share standard methodologies and findings
  • Provide change management leadership and support for major change initiatives
  • Partner with project leaders and project managers on successful delivery of the initiative
  • Perform change impact assessments to identify key risks and resistance to successful implementation
  • Develop and deliver on comprehensive partner engagement, communications, and training plans to ensure project success
  • Create plans for measuring adoption and success of change
  • Supports Transformation Management Office with delivering functional strategy
  • Identify change impact across portfolio of ongoing efforts highlighting risk to project success or change overload
  • Ensure alignment of change impact with organizational KPIs and metrics
  • Aid in setting strategic direction for the Transformation Management Office and business area.
Essential criteria
  • Degree in business or scientific field
  • Expertise in change management, with a consistent record of delivering successful change projects
  • Experience building change management strategy, framework and trainings
  • Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
  • Strong networking/consulting skills with good internal/external links
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language and in alignment with AZ business
  • Consistent record in delivering high risk programme/projects and decision making
  • Ability to convince and lead negotiations across a complex group
Desirable criteria
  • Formal qualifications in change management, project management, and/or process improvement methodologies
  • Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
  • Pharmaceutical R&D experience
