The Director Finance Delivery Hub, a sub-function within the overarching Finance COO mandate, functions as a trusted partner, working directly with the Finance Business SME's, leads and our business partners, to drive the end-to-end delivery and execution of projects and programs, with impacts to Financial external/internal reporting, systems and processes. As a trusted partner to the Finance Business, the team will play a pivotal role in recommending options and solutions, to help support senior management, make informed decisions, based on data, scalability of the solution and the overall effectiveness and benefit to the Finance function.
You will support the CFO's AIM - "Ambitious Ideas Materialize", initiatives. They will direct and oversee the strategic redesign of core global finance processes and the associated end to end implementation. The incumbent will support the designated CFO OC Sponsor and provide timely and decision-oriented updates, as required by the sponsor. You are expected to pro-actively manage projects and programs.
What will you do?
Supports multiple senior leaders including, Directors', Senior Directors', VP and SVP level stakeholders, as well as the COO for the CFO Group in executing projects and delivering results to support the CFO strategic pillars and the overall RBC objectives.
Define and manage project scope, timelines, Budgets and milestones.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with finance system changes.
Collaborate with IT and Finance stakeholders to prioritize projects based on business impact.
Facilitate regular project updates, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder communications.
Leadership role in managing teams in the critical delivery of projects and programs, understanding senior management expectations, prioritizing activities and time management
Hands-on experience in the end-to-end delivery of projects and programs
Work with a diverse set of Finance, Business and technology partners and build effective networking within the RBC organization
A reasonable understanding of the Personnel & Commercial Banking (P&CB), Capital Markets (CM), Wealth and Insurance value propositions and delivery model, will be advantages

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Required: University degree or equivalent and Finance systems, processes and outputs knowledge
13+ years of experience in a similar position is essential
MBA, CPA/ACCA/CIMA (i.e. accounting designation or equivalent) and prior experience in a Financial Institution (FI)
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience on Finance systems, processes and financial outputs - both external and internal reporting is essential
Hands-on experience in planning, executing and delivering large and medium scale Finance projects, re-engineering activities and automation
Demonstrate key leadership traits in managing teams and senior stakeholder engagement
Ability to articulate proposals and ideas concisely and confidently, backed by facts and data
Understand team dynamics and work effectively within a team - this is a critical requirement for a leadership role
Pro-active problem solver and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement experience - need to demonstrate with concise examples
Proven ability and hands-on experience in developing Business cases, Business requirements documents, Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Scrips and Benefits tracking / realization
Nice to have
Ability to disrupt and challenge the status quo to drive effective project execution and delivery
Have led and chaired steering committees and governance forums
