What you'll be doing

As the Director, Business Partner Marketing, Money In, you are accountable for leading the strategy and planning for the team, as well as supporting the implementation of the CIBC product campaigns. The position will work with different stakeholders including Digital Channels, Marketing, Sponsorship, Corporate Communications/PR, Agencies and Vendors. You will provide authoritative analysis, interpretation and opinion to support/lead the Money In the team's campaign leads, and line of business teams in the development of best in class marketing plans and tactics, aligned to our brand purpose, that deliver best in class results.

Along with supporting strategies to drive product awareness and sales, this role also supports the coaching and development of junior team members, leads the governance reporting and consistent measurement of the campaigns, and acts as a voice of leadership within the Money In team.

How you'll succeed

  • Strategic - Serve as the strategic expert and thought leader on the effective marketing of Money In products, consulting with colleagues in LOB product teams, marketing communications, research, segments, Channels (incl. Search, Programmatic, and Sales Strategy), and sponsorships to help identify client behaviors, insights and attitudes, and provide insights yourself to our planning and tactics to better engage our clients across all of our products. You are a strategic leader, and will recommend and design best practices.
  • Innovative - Identify & leverage emerging trends, platforms and technologies. Proactively seek out new opportunities to find better ways to work and achieve our goals. Share cutting-edge news and capabilities with partners and across the team, so as to build our team's reputation as thought leaders and change agents. Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve the online customer experience and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Money In team and campaigns
  • Leadership - Lead the teams in Business Planning insights and quarterly review of hero products all in the effort of driving positive Marketing ROI. You will direct the team of subject matter experts (SME) and campaign leads, providing "dotted-line" oversight and coaching to team members as necessary.
  • Relationship Management - Serve as the relationship manager for relevant vendors and agencies, ensuring contractual deliverables and obligations are met, oversight and vendor management processes meet Enterprise Supplier Governance Office requirements.
Who you are
  • You can demonstrate experience in 10+ years' experience in marketing/advertising preferably with Financial Services and Customer Segment marketing; developing marketing plans that deliver financial value along with leading integrated marketing communications programs across all mediums (digital display, search, social, content; and traditional channels); negotiation and influencing to be able to achieve consensus in objective setting and commitment from key partners, suppliers and internal working groups at all levels.
