The Finance Processes and Modernization team is responsible for transforming, digitizing, and evolving finance to create process efficiencies and higher value impact with our franchise. It also involves developing and maintaining high-quality, well-controlled financial and management reporting processes and its related governance requirements across all of businesses globally. This organization is a key contributor to driving and executing on our overall Finance Transformation.

In partnership with Group Functions Technology and Global Data team, the Finance Processes and Modernization team is accountable for implementing the continued transformation and automation of our financial and management reporting processes using new tools/industry best-practices to enable the timely, transparent, and decision-useful financial reporting in a self-service manner.

Specifically, the incumbent will work closely with business partners, our peers in FP&M, Group Functions Technology, and the Global Data team to deliver operational support within our production and test environments. The primary focus of the incumbent is to ensure appropriate governance and controls are maintained over our production and test environments as well as ensuring these controls are integrated and included as part of any future state process designs.

Responsibilities:

Support the AVP in the management of the daily production support team

Focus on the improvement of data quality, reliability and efficiency within our Infor ERP, Suspense and Essbase applications

Triage and remediate data quality issues identified by our business partners in a timely manner; escalate any system issues to our Group Functions Technology team and involve additional parties as required

Provide timely communication of system status and changes to our production environment

As data stewards ensure that data quality, data usage, security and compliance are aligned between business and IT

Collaborate with business partners on project and/or business needs, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and effectiveness through global standardization and automation

Create and maintain thorough and accurate documentation of procedures for control and training

What we are looking for

Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in operational or business functions

Solid knowledge base of financial reporting and internal controls

Working knowledge of financial systems, particularly General Ledger and Treasury Cash Management

Knowledge of Smartview/Essbase and/or multi-dimensional datamarts a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Results-oriented individual; well organized, with a high attention to detail

Capable self-starter who demonstrates resourcefulness and perseverance in solving problems and removing roadblocks

Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence as is required to build a strong team

Ability to be flexible and adaptable, handle multiple demands and competing priorities while meeting deadlines

Inquisitive learner, curious about continuous improvement and innovation in the finance and operations function

Strong customer focus and dedication to support our business partners through better tools and process

Ability to bring excitement to support our FP&M initiatives and build strong working partnerships with the Group Functions Technology team and the Global Data team

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between $100,500.00 CAD - $180,900.00 CAD
