Position Purpose
The Director, Business Development and Marketing role is multifaceted. Reporting to the Executive Director, Telfer Executive Programs, the incumbent holds decision-making authority in the Executive Director's absence and must quickly solve problems, collaborate with stakeholders, and influence senior management decisions. Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and flexibility are essential to balance client expectations with university regulations.
The incumbent provides strategic and operational leadership in developing, planning and implementing all aspects of internal and external business development, communications, and marketing, including digital communications, public relations, branding and event management, to improve the visibility of the faculty or service and enhance its reputation. Manages the faculty or service's business development, marketing and communications team and provides expert advice to senior managers on all aspects of marketing and communications.
