As the Director, Brand Communications, you will provide strategic leadership for our Brand Communications team and develop and implement industry leading communications plans. In this role, you will lead our internal and external communications team and are responsible to deliver communications plans across consumer, trade and business media, government relations for all our brands. What Will You Be Doing?
Oversee PR strategy, across media relations, influencer and other partners to drive earned media and extend brand reach
Support media buying across trade and consumer media
Strategically partner with our Senior Leadership Team to develop thought leadership strategy and corporate positioning
Develop an internal communications strategy in partnership with various stakeholders
Develop and implement a comprehensive crisis communication strategy
Develop government relations approach and select partners as needed
Ensure consistent implementation of all corporate communications (i.e. website, leadership bios, speaker presentations, company FAQ, media kit, boilerplates etc.)
Leverage data and research to create differentiated plans for each of our business units
Support with event planning (Media, Influencer, Conferences, Trade Shows)
Partner with brand marketing to amplify all go to market initiatives and integrate communications priorities into the overall marketing calendar
Coach and develop the communications team through empowering leadership
As The Successful Candidate, You Have:
Marketing or Business degree, MBA an asset
10+ years of progressive communications experience in healthcare, retail or other service related industries
7 years of leadership experience
Exceptional track record of building highly engaged teams
Strong verbal and written communicator
Experience writing briefs that result in on-brand, high quality work from internal and external teams
Experience writing articles, pitches and content for thought leadership and press releases
Experience with event planning and crafting memorable moments for patients, team members, media and partners.
Demonstrated experience thriving in cross-functional teams; a self starter who is just as happy to lead as they are to dig in and get their hands dirty.
Strong preference for bilingual (French and English)
