About the Opportunity
Taking the lead from the Vice President, Brand and Communications, the Director, Brand and Communications leads the day-to-day operations of the Brand and Communications team. This role oversees the team of marketing professionals in their roles within the brand, communications, product, advisor marketing, digital and creative teams, providing them with guidance, growth and inspiration. This role focuses on driving our strategic objectives, and the pursuit of our creative vision to be the most personable and insightful brand in real estate, all while fostering a positive team environment. The Director, Brand and Communications works closely with rennie senior leaders to advocate for brand standards and promote a consistently high level of service across the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with the team to oversee the development, production and execution of brand, marketing, and communications materials and programs including but not limited to brand campaigns, print collateral, digital content and media, retail and office branding, and advisor marketing
Drives the focus to established strategic objectives, ensuring goals are achieved and priorities are defined and understood to grow business objectives and brand awareness.
Develops and continually refines systems and processes in the way we do our business to enable efficiencies, effectiveness and facilitate success of the department
Responsible for final sign off on all materials, ensuring consistent corporate image, voice and brand standards throughout all marketing materials, product lines and consumer or client facing touchpoints.
Meets with key vendors (or other external partners) to maintain productive relationships
Seeks and builds cross-functional relationships across the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration on brand initiatives/campaigns/product launches
Leadership Responsibilities
Directly leads a team and is responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; career coaching and developing; appraising and managing performance; recognizing and rewarding employees; creating a respectful workplace
Manages in accordance with rennie?s programs and policies to create a thriving, positive and engaging workplace
Oversees the department budget in line with rennie?s financial goals
Education and Experience:
Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in marketing
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and motivating other marketing professionals
Minimum of 3 years leading a corporate brand
Proven experience and proficiency in building healthy, happy and effective teams
Proven experience in creating and delivering successful creative and strategic brand, marketing and communications project plans and concepts
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of local real estate market an asset
Collaborative, creative, flexible, and innovative team player team player with an ability to work effectively with peers, senior leaders, and key stakeholders
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Proven leadership and business acumen skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, always maintains composure and an optimistic, action-oriented attitude
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good judgment to make timely and sound decisions
Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflows
Excellent relationship management skills
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Advanced skills using the Microsoft or Google Suite, and experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred
Working Conditions:
Our home office is located just outside of Granville Island in Kitsilano and this role is primarily office based with some flexibility to work remotely
