Our expectations:

Reporting to the Finance Vice-President, the Corporate Accounts Payable Director must have the experience and ability to integrate and optimize processes in a multi-geographic environment who includes over 75 associates (15 in Boucherville and 60 in India).

The primary purpose of this role is to direct the accounting teams responsible for corporate payable activities that ensure the accurate and timely processing and recording of financial transactions to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Payable accounting activities directed by this role may include a combination of the following activities: invoice exception processing (as it relates to trades, expense, freight, imports, or other payables), vendor payment setup and maintenance, payment auditing, as well as corporate travel and expense. Additionally, this role provides seasoned knowledge to company initiatives that impact payable accounting processes. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and maintaining an internal control structure that ensures the integrity of the data that is used for the company's financial reporting.

Your role:

Lead several teams within the Corporate Accounts Payable department (local and offshore)
Manage a team of individual contributors and/or managers
Build partnerships with merchandising, vendors, and other functional areas to ensure processing efficiencies
Oversee the continued development of systems for the Corporate Accounts Payable function
Ensure timely payment of all vendor invoices and expense vouchers
Ensure the maintenance of accurate records and control reports
Review applicable accounting reports to ensure financial accuracy
Perform periodic General Ledgers accounts reconciliations
Lead a team of 75 associates, including 5 direct reports

The qualifications we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree (CPA designation an asset)
At least 10 years of relevant experience in a large corporation
At least 5 years of experience leading teams
Preferred: Experience working with merchandising functions
Excellent communication skills in English (French an asset)
Ability to work with different systems
Good knowledge of the retail industry
