A propos du role :
Le(la) Directeur(trice) de l'entretien Technique fait partie du comite de Direction de l'hotel qui prend ensemble les decisions strategiques et operationnelles concernant l'hotel. Le Directeur supervise une equipe d'ingenierie et de specialistes de la maintenance responsables de toutes les operations d'ingenierie pour les installations interieures/exterieures incluant la plomberie, la refrigeration, les systemes de chauffage et d'air conditionne, la peinture, la charpenterie, la menuiserie, le recyclage, le systeme electrique, l'entretien des sols et des zones parkings. Le Directeur est aussi responsable des systemes de securite incendie, des initiatives d'energies renouvelables et de la gestion d'autres travaux d'ingenierie necessaires a maintenir la propriete en excellente condition afin d'assurer la securite et le confort des clients et employes. Nous recherchons un candidat qui a de fortes competences de gestion de projet, demontre une ethique de travail poussee, de l'adaptabilite, de la flexibilite et des qualites de leader.
Ce que vous ferez :
Participer au recrutement, a la formation, a la supervision, a l'etablissement des horaires, aux conseils, a l'evaluation des performances et a la planification des activites du personnel d'entretien, notamment en effectuant des controles ponctuels sur une base quotidienne ;
S'assurer de la bonne execution du systeme de demande/ordre de travail et du suivi des elements si necessaire ;
S'assurer que l'hotel respecte tous les codes et reglements locaux ;
Tenir un registre des mouvements des articles en stock et des outils et surveiller la distribution des articles ;
Controler les depenses de main-d'oeuvre et d'exploitation du departement ;
Faire des efforts pour realiser des economies d'energie raisonnables et lancer des programmes productifs ;
Superviser les entrepreneurs et les fournisseurs afin d'assurer la rectification et l'achat d'articles qualifies ;
Creer, approuver et afficher tous les horaires du personnel du service technique ;
Participer a la creation et au respect du budget annuel de la division ;
S'assurer que tous les equipements et systemes d'urgence et de securite des personnes sont inspectes, testes et certifies conformement a la loi et aux codes locaux ;
Doit etre capable de mener plusieurs taches de front et de hierarchiser les fonctions du departement pour respecter les delais ;

Ce que vous contribuez :
Aptitude a communiquer couramment en francais, a l'oral comme a l'ecrit ;
Un niveau avance d'anglais est requis pour negocier avec une clientele internationale, produire des soumissions, des contrats et des presentations en anglais, ainsi que pour entretenir des relations d'affaires avec des partenaires internationaux;
Etre titulaire d'un diplome ou certification soit en CVAC, plomberie, mecanicien de machines fixes, refrigeration, etc. Tout autre domaine connexe serait un grand atout ;

About the role:
The Director of Engineering forms part of the Hotel Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel or Resort. The Director oversees a team of Engineering and Maintenance specialists responsible for all engineering operations for interior/exterior facilities including plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling, electrical, ground care and parking areas. The Director is also responsible for Life/Fire safety systems, energy/green initiative systems and management of other engineering work necessary to maintain the property in an efficient condition to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and employees. We are looking for individuals who have solid project management skills, evidence a strong work/ethic, adaptability and flexibility and leadership skills.
What you will do:
Assists in the hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, counseling, and evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis;
Ensures proper execution of work order/request system and that items are followed up on when necessary;
Ensures the hotel follows all local codes and regulations;
Maintains logs on movement of stock items and tools and monitor distribution of items;
Controls departmental labor and operational expense;
Makes effort in reasonable energy saving and launch productive programs;
Offer supervision on contractors and suppliers to assure the qualified rectification and items purchasing;
Creates, approves and posts all Engineering staff schedules;
Helps to create and adhere to annual budget for the division;
Ensures that all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested and certified as per law and local codes;
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines;
Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives;
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information;
Requires reading of blue prints;
Supervises and trains all Engineering staff in Customer Service, Empowerment, Standard Operating Procedures and Loss Prevention Standards;
Acts appropriately in all dangerous and/or emergency situations (fires, power outages, infiltrations, floods, etc.);
Ensures that the work order/request system is properly executed and that items are followed up as required;
Prepares requisitions and work orders and ensures effective liaison with the Procurement Manager;
Implements preventive maintenance programs, policies and rules to ensure effective service;
Works harmoniously and professionally with colleagues and supervisors;
Executes all other related tasks .
What you bring:
Ability to communicate fluently in English and French, both orally and in writing;
An advanced level of English is required to negotiate with international clients, prepare proposals, contracts, and presentations in English, as well as maintain business relationships with international partners.
Holding degree or certificate in either HVAC, Plumbing, Stationary Engineer, Refrigeration, etc. Any other related field would be of great asset;
3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role within a 5-star luxury environment;
Management experience and a working knowledge of infrastructure utilities including, electrical distribution, chill water, natural gas, potable water, and associated equipment.
Good knowledge of the Windows platform;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure while managing it positively and effectively.
Demonstrates a very high team spirit;
Interest and ability to provide outstanding service to our guests;
Maintains a professional appearance and behaves in a mature manner with integrity at all times;
Being calm and patient and be of service passion.
Be organized, meticulous and resourceful;
Good knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electricity and painting;
