Description:

The main function of a digital-analog board designer is to design CPU boards, digital control/processing boards, motor drive boards, data sampling and pattern generation board for space applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Convert board level requirements into a board design concept.

• Prepare an electrical schematic, a list of parts and initial part layout placement.

• Plan board routing and provide routing requirements and constraints.

• Supervise board layout and review board gerbers, board & assembly drawings.

• Support board assembly and conduct tests on initial models.

• Prepare functional and environmental test plans & procedures for flight models.

Skills:

• Proficient with a schematic entry tool.

• Familiarity with software such as MathCAD, Spice, Matlab.

• Knowledgeable about bare board manufacturing processes.

• Proficient with MS Office products.

We are currently looking for Digital (PCB) Board Designers for one of our clients in the Defense industry located in Sainte-Anne-De-Bellevue.

Description

The board designer will support the development of CPU boards, digital control / processing boards, motor control boards, data sampling and / or model generation boards for space applications. These cards will include FPGAs, occasionally CPUs, and various serial or parallel interfaces. The applications can be in the field of robotics, telecommunications, radar imagery, CPU boards, etc.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1-10+ years of experience in schematics for PCBs

High speed circuitry design experience (
1GHz)

Multi-layer PCB experience (18 layers ideally)

Experience with Hyperlynx
