Student Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated UWinnipeg students who would love to share their experience with prospective students as a UWinnipeg Student Ambassador!
Responsibilities:
Share their student experience and insights into student life at UWinnipeg with prospective students through UWinnipeg social media accounts on platforms including Unibuddy, Instagram, and others.
Converse over Unibuddy chat with prospective students to provide information about student life at UWinnipeg.
Create blog posts on a variety of topics pertaining to UW student life and living in Winnipeg.
Assist with social media content creation, works directly with Communications and Events Coordinator
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
No experience is required, as "on-the-job" training is provided.
Familiarity with The University of Winnipeg campus is desirable.
Good basic knowledge of The University of Winnipeg programs and services as they relate to recruitment and admissions is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, a high energy level, a vibrant personality and enthusiasm for UWinnipeg.
High oral and written English proficiency.
Ability to speak an additional language is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of social media platforms is desirable.
Ability to speak to small and/or large groups of people.
Ability to work from August 2025 to April 2026.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.
Condition(s) of Employment:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Must be a full-time student at The University of Winnipeg during the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 academic year.
Must be available to attend mandatory training on August 20th and 21st as well as Fall Orientation August 27th and 28th.
