Student Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated UWinnipeg students who would love to share their experience with prospective students as a UWinnipeg Student Ambassador!
Responsibilities:
Conduct campus tours for prospective students, parents, and other guests.
Assist in mailing of publications and other correspondence to high schools and prospective students.
Assist with university events such as Counsellors' Seminar, Future Student Night, Orientation, and Open House; duties may include assembling packages, setting up displays and booths, posting signage, ushering, distributing viewbooks, talking with prospective students and parents, takedown, and other routine tasks as assigned.
Visit high schools in Winnipeg and rural Manitoba (within a 1-hour geographic radius) as a member of the recruitment team. May be asked to speak for approximately 3-5 minutes to prospective students about The University of Winnipeg, as well as answer questions about student life.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
No experience is required, as "on-the-job" training is provided.
Familiarity with The University of Winnipeg campus is desirable.
Good basic knowledge of The University of Winnipeg programs and services as they relate to recruitment and admissions is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, a high energy level, a vibrant personality and enthusiasm for UWinnipeg.
High oral and written English proficiency.
Ability to speak an additional language is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to speak to small and/or large groups of people.
Ability to work from August 2025 to April 2026.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.
Condition(s) of Employment:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Must be a full-time student at The University of Winnipeg during the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 academic year.
Must be available to attend mandatory training on August 20th and 21st as well as Fall Orientation August 27th and 28th.
