As a Digital Publishing Specialist (Public Web), you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for completing publishing updates to sunlife.ca/en/ and sunlife.ca/fr/. You\xe2\x80\x99ll ensure updates are consistent with the site strategy, site standards, industry best practices and the Sun Life brand.


Who you\xe2\x80\x99ll report to:
Reporting to the Senior Digital Product Manager, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be part of a team of experts that work together to enhance our public-facing digital channel. What will you do?

• Content publishing: you\xe2\x80\x99ll publish content to our web channel via our Content Management System (Adobe Experience Manager), helping to ensure we communicate with our clients and prospects in a visually compelling, clear and consistent way.

• Accessibility: you\xe2\x80\x99ll learn about accessibility standards and apply them to your day-to-day tasks, helping ensure all Canadians can access our platform.

• Site maintenance: you\xe2\x80\x99ll obsessively maintain our web channel to high standards of completeness. This includes quickly fixing typos, broken links as well as working with partners to investigate and remediate any breaks in the experience.

• Consultation: as a resident expert on sunlife.ca, you\xe2\x80\x99ll provide input on requests big and small from across the business to update their content, managing the request from intake to completion.

• Collaboration: you\xe2\x80\x99ll facilitate requests from multiple departments to ensure processes and workflows run smoothly so we can continue to deliver excellently and on time. Relationship building is a key part of the success of the role.

• Analytics: you\xe2\x80\x99ll gather insights and use them to assess items such as channel/site traffic and usage, publishing requests, etc.

• Execute on digital projects: you\xe2\x80\x99ll work alongside other digital experts to enhance existing, and build new, content experiences to continuously improve our platform.

• Images: Selecting images and sizing / optimizing them for web use, when they are not supplied by business partners.

. Hours and location:

• We offer a flexible work environment; work from home, office or a combination. The usual business hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. There are times, maybe once a month, when it may be required for you to work outside of these hours.

What do you need to succeed?

• Digital marketing experience.
• Knowledge of what makes web-marketing copy \xe2\x80\x98good\xe2\x80\x99
• Understanding of digital technology & channels and best practices
• Knowledge of the Canadian financial services industry
• 2 or more years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in web publishing / web site management & digital communications
• Experience in managing and executing Web Content Accessibility Standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and the practical application of these standards to overall
• A sharp eye for design
• Knowledge of what makes web-marketing copy \xe2\x80\x98good\xe2\x80\x99
• Understanding of digital technology & channels and best practices
• Knowledge of the Canadian financial services industry.
• Bilingualism (French, English) required- interactions with English-speaking customers or partners

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
