Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, pricing strategies, and project management skills to deliver precise and competitive estimates.

Duties

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed estimates and project proposals. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates, including breakdowns of costs associated with labor, materials, and overhead. Stay updated on industry trends, materials prices, and construction methods to maintain competitive edge in estimating.

Skills

Proficiency in Bluebeam for document management and collaboration. 2-3 years in digital printing and wide format experience is required. Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors and subcontractors. Excellent project management abilities to oversee multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes and methodologies. Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is preferred. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
