Job Description


Position Title: Digital Media Buyer Reports To: Vice President of Operations Position Summary: The Digital Media Buyers will seek to optimize that eye-on-screen time by researching the digital habits of target demographics and buying up ad space that is most relevant to brands seeking to influence that target demographic. To do so, the Digital Media Buyer will become the expert on all media platforms as well as the statistics which characterize specific target demographics. The Digital Media Buyer will work with advertisers during the process of real-time bidding to get great spots on high-traffic websites. As the name \xe2\x80\x98real-time bidding\xe2\x80\x99 implies, this happens every single time that a site user clicks on or refreshes a publisher\xe2\x80\x99s website! That means that there are literally thousands of opportunities (if not far more) to grab somebody\xe2\x80\x99s attention via a well-placed digital advertisement. It\xe2\x80\x99s the job of the digital media buyer to ensure that their client\xe2\x80\x99s ad is seen by many. Client Relations/Account Management:

  • The buyer will become intimately familiar with the advertiser, the prospective publisher, the demand side platform, the advertisement exchange, and the supply side platform\xe2\x80\x94in other words, the main cast of characters involved with real-time publishing an effectively placed ad.
  • Coordinate and implement marketing functions in accordance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s/clients marketing plans.
  • Provide media strategy for clients .
  • Coordination with DMG team for briefing, execution and follow up.
  • Reporting and management.
  • Trafficking approvals between clients and internal team.
  • Meet with suppliers for respective quotes and information.
  • Manage budgets and billings for respective clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identifying the target demographic.
  • Assess the competition.
  • Manage the budget.
  • Track from a clicks and conversions (as well as ultimate consumer) basis.
  • Strong analytical and data-based skills as the ad is running, the digital media buyer will be expected to make recommendations for any changes that should be made to the campaign to optimize its conversion ratios.

  • Accurate and timely scheduling results in good customer service and repeat business.
  • Good rapport with media representatives results in efficient work order completion.
  • Good office protocol ensures good customer relations.
  • Maintain good client relationships results in repeat business.
  • Maintain a good public image for Douglas Marketing Group.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • University or College Degree
  • 5+ years of Digital Media Buyer experience, ideally in an agency setting.
  • A passion for technology, emerging media and creative.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • An understanding of marketing communications.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Valid passport is required with ability to travel to the United States.
