Digital Marketing Specialist

This position is designed to directly support and execute digital marketing initiatives and activities across of London Drugs\xe2\x80\x99 core product categories and service offerings. Working in conjunction with the assistant digital marketing manager and digital marketing manager, this position will be responsible for the end-to-end process of paid and owned (internal) digital media campaigns, from strategy, planning, scheduling, proofing, targeting, and reporting success or opportunities based on established internal and industry benchmarks.

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a social or digital strategist in a client-side or agency setting. Retail experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills to communicate key findings, opportunities, and improvements in all aspects of paid and owned digital media channels. This includes but is not limited to post-campaign reporting and responsibility for maintaining an overarching Executive summary of performance across all digital channels.
    • Includes organic and paid social, SEM, and other established or emerging paid digital channels.
  • Experience developing and executing social and content strategies for a business with multiple social channels; including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience executing amplification and following best practices related paid social media opportunities and influencer marketing.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills and experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders and agency partners.
  • Experience with dynamic social ads including shopping, merchant feeds, and APIs are an asset.
  • Experience working with 1st party data and marketing platforms as it pertains to paid digital media channels is considered an asset.
  • Proven experience building online communities, influencers is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity managing and supporting product reviews and 3rd party store listing reviews is considered an asset.
  • Familiar with analytics products including Google UA, and GA4.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
  • Responsible for maintaining monthly reporting, on, and including an executive summary for all owned and paid digital channels and tech stacks.
  • Working with internal and external agency stakeholders to: support briefing, providing content assets including copy and imagery, digital ad proofing related to campaigns, optimization of campaigns while in market, and post campaign reporting.
  • Developing and executing social and content strategies, and providing continuous measurement and optimization through a start, stop, continue methodology.
  • Managing and maintaining internal tech stacks related to reviews, brand reputation, and 3rd party business listings.
  • Manage, execute, or support other digital marketing team members related to owned media channels including content, blogs, email, social media, and websites.
  • Clearly communicate proactive thinking and strategic measurement to continuously test and evolve owned channels and related digital media opportunities for London Drugs, and related businesses.
