Position Overview:
ifm efector is a global leader in industrial automation, offering innovative solutions across sensors, controls, and systems. We are seeking a results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to lead and execute our digital strategy across SEO, SEA, GEO targeting, and digital advertising channels for ifm Canada. The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a critical role in generating brand awareness, drive qualified traffic, and support lead generation across multiple online platforms. You will work closely with our Product Sales Managers, sales team and the Marketing Coordinator to deliver integrated campaigns aligned with our business objectives.
This is a hybrid role based out of the Mississauga, Ontario office.
Position Description:
Develop and execute performance-driven digital marketing campaigns across SEO (Search Engine Optimization), SEA (Search Engine Advertising), GEO targeting, and paid media.
Collaborate with external digital marketing partners to create optimized landing page content and campaign assets.
Optimize website structure and content including page titles, URLs, meta descriptions, headings, and alt tags for improved search visibility.
Use web analytics tools (e.g.,such as Google Analytics, SEMrush and, Ahrefs) to monitor campaign performance and identify growth opportunities.
Coordinate with Product Sales Managers, sales team and the Marketing Coordinator to align digital efforts with product, industry, and customer targets.
Create and refine page templates to support broader marketing initiatives and improve user experience.
Work with third-party consultants on backlink strategies and off-page SEO.
Provide regular updates on campaign progress, identify gaps, and recommend future improvements.
Stay informed on competitor digital strategies and market trends.
Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with global ifm teams to ensure alignment and innovation.
Maintain and update website content using the appropriate CMS platform

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing with a strong focus on SEO, SEA, GEO targeting, and content strategy.
Proven ability to manage and optimize multi-channel digital campaigns.
Comprehension of Google's Pmax and Demand Gen products.
Strong knowledge of SEO/SEM, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and social media marketing.
Experience with email marketing platforms and marketing automation tools.
Diploma, degree, or certification in Digital Marketing, SEO, or related field.
Experience or interest in industrial automation, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels of leadership.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites and occasionally outside Canada including the US (<5%).
Authorization to work in Canada.
