DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for defining, analyzing, and managing digital marketing and analytics activities - through web, email, SEO, paid search and social media, as well as display campaigns - to support awareness of the NorQuest brand and generate interest in our courses and programs.

The role is hands on, but also requires a strategic thinker who can look past current practices to identify future opportunities. The Digital Marketing Specialist will have the opportunity to drive innovations in digital marketing that help NorQuest meet its strategic goals.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Develop, analyze, and manage a wide variety of customer acquisition activities, including email marketing, PPC advertising, SEM, SEO, and paid social media campaigns.
  • Monitors key digital marketing metrics to track success and optimize plans, and creates analytics reports to share progress on campaigns and marketing activities.
  • Reviews and analyzes market research, internal data sources (e.g., application/admission data, student demographics, surveys, CRM data, etc.) to better understand target audiences and market opportunities.
  • Contributes to the development, coordination and execution of strategies to ensure widespread awareness and interest in the NorQuest brand.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing or equivalent.
  • Digital marketing certifications (Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Facebook Blueprint) preferred.
  • Related experience with training and professional development will be considered for equivalency.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist or in similar roles.
  • Experience in an educational institution or at a marketing agency experience is an asset.
  • Extensive experience using the Google Ads platform (Search, Display, Video, Remarketing).
  • Extensive experience running Facebook Ads (using Facebook Ad Manager / Power Editor), LinkedIn Ads, and other paid social media campaigns.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools/Search Console, Tag Manager and other analytics tools, and demonstrated ability to use data to refine and optimize digital marketing plans.

  • Strong understanding of current online marketing tools, concepts, trends, strategies and best practices. Experience with various social media platforms and demonstrated ability to build brand awareness and engagement.
  • Working knowledge or experience in technical SEO implementation and practices.
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sources to inform understanding of key audiences and create highly targeted digital marketing plans.
  • Understanding of content management systems and HTML is an asset.
SALARY: $72,568 - $94,231 reflective of what you bring AKA your experiences and education. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefits programs.
