Role Overview
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented
Digital Marketing & Content Specialist
to lead and grow our presence on TikTok, Instagram, and other community-focused platforms. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing marketing initiatives across social media, content, and community channels, including producing written and visual content and supporting digital campaigns to expand brand reach and engagement.
The Marketing & Social Media Specialist will take ownership of day-to-day brand communication, campaign execution, and audience growth, ensuring measurable results. You will collaborate closely with internal teams--including design, content, SEO, and operations--as well as external creators, partners, and local communities to maintain consistent messaging and storytelling.
This role is ideal for someone who understands online culture, writes with clarity and impact, identifies trends early, and enjoys building meaningful connections across digital spaces.
Key Responsibilities1. Content Creation & Social Media
? Create short-form videos tailored for TikTok and Instagram
? Adapt content into platform-native formats and storytelling styles
? Monitor trends, audio, memes, and emerging content patterns
? Collaborate with designers and editors on creative assets
? Write and publish posts across all social platforms
? Develop high-quality written content for blogs and campaigns
? Plan, draft, and optimize long-form editorial content
2. Community Management & Engagement
? Manage and grow communities on platforms such as Reddit, Discord, Facebook Groups, and Morty
? Actively engage in conversations to build trust, credibility, and brand affinity
? Launch interactive posts, challenges, and campaigns to increase engagement
? Encourage, curate, and share user-generated content (UGC)
? Develop strategies to increase organic reach and community participation
3. Influencer, KOL & Outreach Support
? Research and reach out to influencers, bloggers, and content creators
? Support collaborations and track partnership performance
? Build and maintain long-term relationships with creators, media outlets, and community leaders
4. Digital Marketing & Paid Ads Support
? Assist with the setup, monitoring, and optimization of paid ads campaigns
? Track and analyze website traffic, social engagement, and campaign performance using GA4 and other analytics tools to inform marketing decisions.
? Provide actionable insights and reports to optimize content, social media, paid ads, and SEO strategies.
? Monitor KPIs, audience behavior, and engagement trends to improve conversion, reach, and overall campaign results.
? Support marketing data collection, reporting, and analysis to guide growth initiatives.
5. SEO & Digital Growth Support
? Assist with backlink outreach in coordination with the SEO consultant
? Support SEO initiatives to improve organic visibility and traffic
? Help optimize content for keywords and search performance
? Collaborate with web and content teams to implement SEO improvements and growth-focused strategies.
6. Marketing Strategy & Initiatives
? Own and manage the content and campaign calendar, ensuring alignment with business goals, promotions, and seasonal trends.
? Monitor competitors, local events, and trends to identify growth opportunities and differentiation.
? Coordinate with internal teams, including operations and front-line staff, to capture content and promote campaigns.
? Track performance against KPIs and provide actionable recommendations to improve marketing outcomes.
Qualifications
? 1-3 years of experience in social media, community management, content creation, or digital marketing.
? Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram content culture, trends, and algorithms.
? Exceptional English writing, editing, and storytelling skills across both short-form and long-form content.
? Proven experience in blog writing, content marketing, or editorial work, including research and SEO optimization.
? Comfortable filming and editing videos (mobile tools like CapCut are fine)
? Familiarity with Reddit, Discord, and community-driven platforms
? Understanding of SEO principles and social media algorithms
? Knowledge of paid ads platforms is an asset
? Passion for entertainment, gaming, puzzles, or immersive experiences.
? Self-starter, able to manage multiple projects, work independently, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

? Salary: CAD $40,000 - $50,000 per year (based on experience)
