About the role We are looking for a volunteer to develop, update and manage the rollout of ALDO communications and marketing. The Website and Social Media Manager regularly updates the ALDO webpage and social media accounts with news and additions to each platform. The volunteer will possess experience in website building on platforms such as WordPress, as well as be familiar with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The volunteer will also carry out complete website redesigns, updates, and changes as needed. Strong writing and website building skills necessary. They will also organize and make use of ALDO\xe2\x80\x99s media library. Responsibilities and tasks: \xc2\xb7 Create and implement an overall ALDO communications strategy to ensure ALDO has consistent and up-to-date messaging in all of its communications. \xc2\xb7 Create and maintain an ALDO marketing strategy, including ALDO branding, marketing, and advertising. \xc2\xb7 Design and develop a communication plan. \xc2\xb7 Develop content for promotional materials including direct mail pieces, print and electronic newsletters, website and social media stories, media releases, and other materials as needed. \xc2\xb7 Write and edit communication materials including newsletters, press releases, and donor/volunteer letters. \xc2\xb7 Develop new communication strategies, including more web-based, interactive strategies and social media public relations plan. \xc2\xb7 Assist with development of creative concepts and marketing strategies for promoting the work of ALDO and securing donations from past and first-time donors. \xc2\xb7 Assist with development of creative concepts and marketing strategies for promoting the work of ALDO and securing donations from past and first-time donors. Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Experience in digital marketing including SEOs and Google AdWords. \xc2\xb7 Proficient in Google Drive applications and Microsoft Office and 365 applications. \xc2\xb7 Strong communication, writing, and listening skills. \xc2\xb7 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
