The Digital Governance Analyst

Working with colleagues across the Digital Culture, Strategy, and Performance division, the CSDS, and with partners across government and health sectors, you will be responsible for contributing to and monitoring the progress of digital transformation and service delivery efforts to inform decision-making and action. You will be on the lookout for challenges and constraints that get in the way of responsible, user-centred service delivery and help design and deliver solutions to effectively address them.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of digital strategies, policies, and guidance to improve digital product and service delivery.
  • Developing, testing, and implementing monitoring and measurement frameworks that can be applied in digital service contexts.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on digital transformation and service delivery progress, challenges, and constraints to inform decision-making and action.
  • Building and maintaining relationships to help bridge the gaps between digital strategy, governance, and multidisciplinary product and service delivery.
  • Developing, testing and implementing more nimble governance models and practices to guide, trust, and verify that products and services are meeting digital standards.
Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this position, you have an undergraduate degree in a policy-related discipline or equivalent with experience in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment. A minimum of 6 years related experience is required.

You possess the ability to:
  • Effective engagement and communication skills to build relationships and partnerships, collect and present data and insights, and inform decision-making.
  • Translate complex ideas and technical topics into something everyone can understand.
  • Analyze complex problems and find creative solutions to produce desired outcomes.
  • Be curious about applying digital approaches in government\xe2\x80\x99s policy environment to champion change and see real-world impacts.
  • Maintain openness to new ideas, new ways of working, and working with those who may be on different parts of their digital journeys.
Your experience should include:
  • Navigating complex systems and a good understanding of how government works, the role effective governance can play in guiding and supporting better service delivery for Nova Scotians
  • Past public sector strategy, governance, policy, and/or program experience.
  • A demonstrated willingness to try, learn, and iterate based on data and feedback.
