The Centre for Student Engagement at the University of Toronto Mississauga is committed to holistic student learning and development. Informed by research andassessment, our campus & community based co-curricular programs, services and courses promote access to post-secondary education, transition into university, student engagement and community engaged learning.

The Digital Engagement Administratorreporting to the Assistant Director, Campus & Community Engagement will implement digital promotions that highlight and profile the department\'s commitment to student development and learning. This will include the coordination of a digital environment including, but not limited to social media platforms, website management, print materials and newsletters. In addition this position will coordinate administrative supports for the Centre and the front-line service operation which acts as a first point of contact for inquiries regarding all areas of the Center for Student Engagement including the Co-Curricular Record, UofT Recognized Student Groups, Community Engaged Learning and Orientation and Transition programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing a digital media plan that supports marketing/communications strategy
  • Implementing a communications plan to keep stakeholders informed
  • Implementing plans across a broad range ofmarketing/communication channels
  • Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
  • Promoting departmental events and programs to students
  • Collecting and submitting expense reimbursement claims
  • Training and coaching casual staff
  • Assigning and checking the work of work-study students
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business
  • Minimum two years of related experience in communications and customer service, in a post-secondary institutional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement communication strategies across a variety of platforms and methods.
  • Expertise using Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent), Microsoft Office 365, and Drupal (or equivalent).
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people at different levels of the University (students, staff and faculty) and with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a busy office environment with interruptions.
  • Knowledge of anti-oppression/equity practices are required.
  • Experience supervising a team of student staff.
  • Proven experience with social media and website analytics.
