Position Summary

We are looking for a Farm of the Future Digital Engagement Intern to join us for a four-month period, starting in May 2023. The role will develop capabilities within the digital communication, community management, agriculture and sustainability spaces at our Farm of the Future (FoF) in Canada.

The intern occupying this position will be in charge of documenting, enhancing and communicating the activities conducted at Farm of the Future (FoF) Canada. The intern will collect and share knowledge about innovative practices in relation to regenerative agriculture. The intern will also engage potato growers and stakeholders through relevant social medias and digital channels, with the goal to accelerate the adoption of regenerative agriculture and sustainable farming practices.

This position will be based out of Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada.

This internship has the potential to be extended by an additional 4-6 months to join one of our other global locations, based on performance and business need.

The intern will be part of our global Farm of the Future program team, and Global Agriculture team.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Collect and share information
  • Assemble and produce compelling content about the farm activities - pictures, illustrations, messages, videos, best practices, testimonies, stories, quantified results\xe2\x80\xa6 - to create momentum towards regenerative agriculture
  • Support shared learnings and dissemination of results internally and externally
  • Set up and run official account(s) for FoF Canada on relevant social and digital medias
  • Identify the main social medias and accounts followed by potato growers in North America (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, app, website etc.)
  • Publish engaging, timely and relevant content on FoF Canada social media account(s)
  • Manage these accounts, respond to questions, follow accounts back
  • Address issues and risks that may arise through social interactions/comments
  • Monitor impact
  • Measure views, comments, followers, likes, leads\xe2\x80\xa6 and report on these KPIs
  • Leverage the power of social media analytics, data and quantitative information to provide insights and value-adding analyses and recommendations
  • Monitor external social media trends, applications and emerging technologies
  • Support the Global Agriculture and Global Communications teams
  • Contribute to our global digital engagement plan for FoF based on content, cadence, goals
  • Coordinate with their peer responsible for the same role in FoF Canada
  • Represent the organization at external events: farm shows, career fairs, industry events etc.

What You Need to be Successful
  • Bachelor degree or more in Agronomy or Digital or similar studies
  • Professional or personal experience engaging a digital community through social medias
  • Passion about social media, digital tools, online community management and marketing
  • \xe2\x80\x9cNative\xe2\x80\x9d knowledge of the 21st century digital communication and social media world
  • Curiosity about agronomy, convinced about sustainable farming and regenerative agriculture
  • Creativity, eagerness to explore and learn, while remaining focused on goals
  • Self-drive. An independent contributor who also works well with a team
  • Natural interpersonal, networking and relationship skills
  • Constructive, inclusive and purposeful communication
  • Computer, smartphone and tablet skills
  • Knowledge of various social media platforms, search engines, keyword research, online questionnaires, social media analytics
  • Integration of data, numbers and quantitative/measurable inputs, not just qualitative content
  • Honesty: report successes and challenges to manage
  • Flexibility and adaptation
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • A valid driver\'s license
