Position Summary
The successful candidate for this position will report to the Chair of Marketing Retail and Project Management within The Business School. The candidate will teach in the Marketing \xe2\x80\x93 Digital Engagement Strategy program, as well as, in our Post-Graduate and Post-secondary Marketing programs, if needed. The successful candidate will demonstrate competencies related to teaching in the area of Marketing \xe2\x80\x9cin a digital world,\xe2\x80\x9d i.e. digital strategy, IoT, online tools and techniques, content, Omni channel retailing, web analytics, etc. Teaching will be conducted in the classroom, computer laboratory and field settings. The successful candidate has designed courses or trainings that have active learning components to ensure that students are immersed in practical industry experiences. These designs have also integrated formative assessments, helping students learn how to improve their performance throughout a course/program. The successful candidate embraces learning technologies to enhance the learning experience and drive teaching efficiencies. They will participate in program and course development, course modifications, program advisory committees, program accreditation, applied research initiatives (where applicable), community outreach and on-going future program needs.

Responsibilities
  • Use effective interpersonal communication skills with students, faculty, management and external partners or community members, showing a sensitivity to intercultural communication
  • Provide and promote a respectful and supportive environment based on the principles of inclusion, equity and diversity
  • Engage students to create a positive teaching and learning environment using effective pedagogy and best practices
  • Work effectively in a team-based environment alongside the Program Coordinator and faculty
  • Utilizes learning management system, machine learning and AI tools to enhance student engagement and student experience (interactive simulations, virtual collaborations, monitoring progress, customized lessons).
  • Use a variety of appropriate teaching/learning strategies and the application of academic technology to effectively enhance and support learning
  • Evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes using a variety of techniques
  • Develop, revise and adapt appropriate learning resources for students
  • Critically examine learning materials and classroom instructional practice for discriminatory bias or barriers
  • Provide academic support to students as needed
  • Provides academic leadership and develops an effective learning environment for students through the design and delivery of curriculum
  • Maintain and grow contacts with relevant industry and professional associations
  • Remain current in technical knowledge and instructional delivery techniques
  • Devise authentic assessments and evaluates learning outcomes.
  • Attend meetings, maintain records of student grades/assessments, and participate in meetings and activities pertinent to faculty responsibilities

Qualifications/Experience Education
  • Completed Master\xe2\x80\x99s/MBA degree in Digital (Digital Marketing, Media or Transformation) or related field of study from an accredited educational institution. If education is in a related field, state the relevance and benefit to program.

Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in industry along with a proven successful track record (E.g. Digital engagement, content marketing, Omni channel strategies, web analytics, e-commerce, and digital transformation, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience leading campaigns, with hands on experience in SEO/SEM, GA, DV360 & AdWords, META Blueprint, Marketing Automation, Mobile applications
  • Experience in both industry (client) and agency service roles preferred
  • Experience synthesizing research and analysis into structured lectures (E.g. Integration of Chat GPT, true machine cognition, human / machine collaboration).
  • Experience in course or learning materials development required

Skills
  • Strong command of cloud-based applications and tools to support course offering and analysis
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
  • In depth knowledge of digital landscape, emerging technologies and trends affecting business
  • Competent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Dynamic presentation skills, and engaging lesson planning skills
  • Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and learning and a desire to support student learning inside and outside of the classroom
  • Demonstrated understanding of diversity and inclusion to meet the needs of our diverse students, staff and college community
