About the Role

As the Digital Communications & Marketing Assistant, you will support Causeway's mission to help individuals with mental health challenges, disabilities, and other barriers to employment by creating and managing digital content that promotes our programs and social enterprises. You will assist with website updates (Wix, WordPress and Squarespace), develop engaging social media content, design branded visuals using Canva and Adobe Suite, and support internal and external communications such as newsletters and promotional materials. This role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, nonprofit communications, and program promotion, while contributing to a more inclusive and supportive employment landscape.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the development, maintenance and updating of Causeway and social enterprise websites using various website building software's and platforms including Wix, WordPress & Squarespace.

Create, schedule and post engaging digital content across various social media platforms to promote our programs and services.

Support the creation of digital communications, such as newsletters, email campaigns, and promotional materials, for both internal and external audiences.

Collaborate with the Director of Social Enterprise and IT Manager to design and execute marketing strategies that enhance visibility and impact of our social enterprises and agency.

Assist in developing branded visuals, infographics, and digital assets for use in web and social media content using the Canva and Adobe Suite platforms.

Provide general administrative assistance to the IT Manager, including organizing digital files, support technology-related tasks and assisting with data entry or coordination efforts.

Work closely with various team members across the agency to ensure digital content is consistent with Causeway's mission and visual identity.

Qualifications & Experience

Aged 18-30 Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*
Experience/knowledge of mental health, addictions, disabilities and barriers to employment Experience working with vulnerable populations High energy to motivate and support participants Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Adaptability and resourcefulness Exceptional communication, time management, administrative, leadership, decision making and critical thinking skills Social media, PR & Communications skills considered an asset Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check
