Reporting to Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications, Marketing Research & Insights

MANDATE

Our team is currently searching for a Digital Communications Specialist to help build and execute Knowledge First's digital marketing programs. This includes, but is not limited to, helping to plan, develop and execute digital, email marketing and social media campaigns as well as our influencer programs. You will also be expected to develop content and strategies for our social channels and help manage the company's online reputation and community.

As a Digital Communications Specialist, you are a highly motivated, creative individual that's willing to try new and exciting things.

You have experience and a passion for building brand recognition through creating meaningful content and programs that speaks our company's audience, while showcasing our expertise and highlighting our mission to help more Canadians to and through post-secondary studies. This passion will come through as you execute programs and engage with our customers on a daily basis, turning fans into customers and customers into advocates.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET
  • Help develop, create and execute compelling digital content, including videos and graphics
  • Create and execute paid social programs to grow the company's digital footprint
  • Implement and help create online reputational management strategies for the company
  • Create, curate and publish all social content, including text, image, and video
  • Create compelling email content for potential and current customers, including quarterly newsletters, promotional offerings, informational messages and more
  • Help develop and implement influencer campaigns of varying scopes across our social channels
  • Manage Knowledge First's social communities across all social media channels (including building out new ones if/when they become relevant)
  • Conduct social media monitoring and pinpoint key trends and focus areas
  • Create and execute online thought leadership programs, showcasing our expertise and values to external parties
  • Help with responding to customers online and growing our online reputation, executing programs to generate positive brand mentions and reviews
  • Work with freelance journalists and authors to produce a regular cadence of content for the company spanning a variety of topics
  • Help analyze and track key organizational metrics, including the company's digital and social performance
  • Stay informed about trends and tools in social media, marketing, technology and advertising
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 3+ years experience managing in public relations with a background in financial, corporate and digital communications and content management
  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, post-graduate degree in public relations or equivalent experience an asset
  • Proficiencies in video and graphical content creation
  • Experienced in content creation, community management and influencer relations as well as paid and organic social media programs
  • Agency experience is preferred

Work Model

We have adopted a hybrid model, leveraging the best of remote and in-person work. This work model however can differ depending on roles and leaders.
