Job Description

Your Opportunity:

This is an opportunity for you to become part of a dynamic South Zone nutrition team with Alberta Health Services, covering two rural sites in Cardston and Raymond. Nestled in the rolling foothills of southwest Alberta lies the quaint little town/county of Cardston. Just 30 minutes from the majestic Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park, Cardston is the only town that intersects both the Cowboy Trail and Canada\'s historic Mormon Trail. Rich in First Nations culture, pioneer heritage, cowboy tradition, and performing arts, Cardston makes a hospitable hub from which to experience southwest Alberta and Glacier National Park just across the border in Montana. The Town of Raymond is located just 20 minutes (34m km) south of Alberta`s fourth largest city, Lethbridge, in the County of Warner #5 in southern Alberta and approximately one hour north of the Canada-U.S. International Border. As a Dietitian I reporting to the Manager Nutrition Services, South Zone you would be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition care plans for clients in acute care, continuing care, supportive living and adult and pediatric outpatients in the communities of Cardston and Raymond. This position offers a variety of experiences in a rural setting, and you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in Cardston Health Center and Raymond Health Centers as well as with Nutrition Services Dietitians in the South Zone. You may also facilitate virtual and face to face group nutrition sessions, using nutrition counselling for behaviour change as appropriate to achieve nutrition and health outcomes.
