Job Description
Unitarian House of Ottawa is looking for a reliable Dietary Aide to assist in a busy Retirement Home Dining Room.This position will be a permanent full-time position (a minimum of 30 hours per week) and will include full benefits (paid by employer) and RRSP matching, once the probationary period has passed.This position requires a mix of early morning, day, evening & weekend shifts. There is opportunity for this position to become permanent full-time for the right candidate.The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience (minimum 1 year) related experience in a commercial, hospital and/or Retirement Home setting
- Safe Food Handlers Certification
- Ability to move and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of noise and distractions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong English Communication Skills

Employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Staff are rapid tested twice a week.Ability to commute/relocate:
