Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Die Maker

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of die-making tools and techniques, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and experience constructing and maintaining precision dies and tools. This role involves both manual craftsmanship and the use of machinery to ensure quality and precision in die production. The position demands a strong understanding of blueprint interpretation and the use of both manual and CNC equipment to meet exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and work from blueprints, CAD drawings, design schematics, and work orders. Construct, assemble, and repair dies and tooling using various metalworking techniques: turning, drilling, shaping, grinding, and filing. Test and inspect completed tools and dies to ensure they meet all specifications and tolerances. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using precision measuring instruments. Conduct trial runs and make adjustments as needed to ensure functionality and quality. Inspect die board before rule insertion and check the material from Cimline for height, brand, and sequence. Build "knock-offs" based on actual jobs for validation or prototyping. Perform routine maintenance to keep tools and equipment in optimal working condition. Assist in operating machines and lifting heavy materials when necessary. Follow instructions provided by the Team Leader and collaborate effectively with the production team. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in die making or a related field. Strong ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and technical blueprints. Proficiency with metalworking equipment such as grinders, drills, cutters, and presses. Skilled in inspecting and measuring precision components. Familiarity with bending tools (Bridger and cutter tools). Physically capable of lifting heavy items and operating manufacturing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good problem-solving skills and ability to make necessary adjustments during production.
