We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Development Coordinator with hands-on experience in the construction industry to support our growing project portfolio. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating field operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule, and supporting our site teams with the tools and information they need to succeed. This role is in the heart of an organization which started from one truck over 50 years ago and has now grown into one of the largest recyclers and processors of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in North America, along with significant real estate holdings and a successful portfolio of companies. Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up with Consultants and other third parties on RFP, RFQ's and addressing issues in a timely manner.
• Provide support and coordination to the project team during development, preconstruction and construction phase.
• Develop and review tender packages for various trade scopes and include any pertinent information and ensure the lessons learned have been incorporated into the scope of work.
• Participate in project meetings with consultants, trades, and the construction management team and update meeting minutes when assigned.
• Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms.
• Assist with the coordination of development/planning documents and processes.
• Assist with the submission for permits.
• Produce and process purchase requisitions and invoices for all projects when requested.
• Budget tracking through excel and manage documents for each individual project.
• Organize and manage existing filing system

Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma in Urban Planning, Construction Management, or Real Estate
• 2+ years of planning experience within construction or facilities project coordination is required.
• Ability to cultivate positive and effective relationships and communications with stakeholders.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programs. Strong ability with Excel is essential.
• Self-motivated, curious, responsive, and results-driven.
• Strong teamwork, decision & problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret design and construction related documents construction or facilities project coordination

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
