The Digital Products and Platforms team at Interac is working to release new API products to the public in 2019.

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for interns or those looking for a Co-Op opportunity to join our passionate and dedicated product team to help ensure the launch of these products is a success!

This unique group within Interac works directly with our Product Engineers, Core Development, and our Communitech team in Waterloo to rapidly develop new Payment and Identity experiences and tooling for the Canadian Market. This team does it all, from serverless back ends, to App development on Android and IOS.

What you\'ll get to do...

• You\xe2\x80\x99ll work with our back-end developers to understand how our APIs work, and help to experiences and create content that explains those APIs to external audiences
• Develop, test, support mobile and web apps that interface with our existing APIs.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll provide ongoing insight and validation into developer-centric best practices on APIs and sample code.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll write, proof and edit public-facing documentation using clear, easy-to-understand language.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll help to create internal guidelines on writing and publishing technical documentation.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll load and manage source code in GitHub and triage support tickets in JIRA.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll provide technical support and mentorship at community events (Hackathons, meetups, etc.).
• Apply knowledge gained in computer science courses to real-world problems.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to effectively solve problems.
• Develop prototypes to help showcase the solution.

Who are you?

• You have a passion for, and understand, current UX design best practices.
• You have knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Material UI, etc.
• You have a keen interest in developing solutions using Node.JS, and working with serverless platforms like AWS Amplify, Google Firebase, etc.
• You have experience with serverless solutions and/or Node.JS.
• You love creating useful Mobile apps or compelling web experiences.
• You have great communication skills.
