Roles Available:

Software Developer Intern - Web Platform Team (3 roles)

As an Intern developer, you need to work with a team including Developers and QA, PO, Designers and BA, you need to get familiar with what is accessibility and why is that important for us to make our applications accessible, you need to learn how to use accessibility tools in your day to day work and make yourself expert with those tools, you will participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with other team members regarding their accessibility questions and concerns.

Software Developer Intern - Tax & Payment (1 role)

In your role as Software Developer, you will be part of a scrum team comprised of high caliber, hands-on software professionals who aim to provide technical leadership and stewardship of Ceridian Tax and Payment Solutions. You are responsible for implementing and integrating new products and features as well as completing and augmenting existing solutions and services. You work in collaborative manner with fellow Developers, Architects, Test Analysts, Product Managers, UX and other stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered.

Software Developer Intern - Dayforce Core Security Development (1 role)

Reporting to the Development Manager, the Intern Developer is responsible for contributing to software design and software development. The hired intern will also collaborate with their team members in creating secure and reliable software solutions.

Software Developer Intern - Talent Intelligence Team (1 role)

Reporting to the Development Manager, the Intern Developer is responsible for designing and implementing new development projects as well completing and augmenting the current solutions and services. They will collaborate with Technical Product Managers, Developers, Technical Writing and Quality Assurance throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role. Through our training and mentoring program, you will develop deep technical expertise and gain valuable business and industry related experience.

Software Developer Intern - Performance Engineering Team (2 roles)

As a member of the Performance Engineering team, the Intern Developer is someone who will contribute to building data analytics tools and utilities to enable attacking high-profile performance bottlenecks. You will get hands-on experience building scalable solutions that serves as the backbone of our performance testing practice. You will also leverage big data analysis techniques to mine through large amounts of performance data to produce outcome driven applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work cross functionally with the development team to build robust, reliable, and scalable solutions.
• Develop a great product experience, while leveraging the latest technologies
• Work on maintaining and supporting the newly built modules.
• Work with other team members to take ownership and responsibility for development tasks and make them happen.
• Actively participate in the development of quality products and processes to deliver industry leading cloud based HCM solution.
• Investigate, report, and track product failures to resolution.
• Identify and escalate issues related to planning and quality.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance systems and tools for use by development, Test Engineers and QA
• Contribute to creation, extension, and communication of test automation best practices.
• Perform source code analysis to determine quality gaps and communicate high risk areas.
• Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness.
• Facilitate creation and execution of automated test suites.
• Participating in design and architectural discussions
• Help ensure new code moves easily through our deployment pipeline.

Qualifications:

• Smart and driven individual who is passionate about learning new technologies and building high quality cloud applications.
• Strong academic performance in courses regarding programming languages, algorithms and data structures, computer organization, and discrete mathematics.
• Disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently or in close collaboration within an agile development team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong coding skills in a modern object-oriented language (e.g., C#, Java, C++, Python)
• Working knowledge of modern web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS 3, SVG, JSON, etc. from professional or academic projects
• Working knowledge of modern relational databases architecture and SQL language through professional or academic projects
• Experience in applying design patterns, writing unit tests and optimizing performance in application-level Typescript/JavaScript
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries such as Dojo, React, Angular, Ember, Backbone, etc.
• Have a passion for solving hard problems and know how to have fun!

Nice to have:

• Experience in applying design patterns, writing unit tests, and optimizing performance in application-level Typescript/JavaScript
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries such as Dojo, React, Angular, Ember, Backbone, etc.
• Experience with .NET framework
• Experience working with ASP.NET MVC
• Experience working with SaaS Enterprise Software is a plus.
